News source and perception
The tie between where news is taken from and what is held to be true is measured. The distribution of sources is reported together with the perceived majority.
Purpose and scope
How perception is built in the information environment is measured; social media, news organisations and the personal circle are treated separately. The difference in perception per source is given with its margin of uncertainty.
The questions are added to the instrument of the first round; the list of sources is fixed before the field. Country, population and sample are set out in the method annex.

Four steps; the output of each step enters the record.

Design
The questionnaire and the instrument are fixed in writing before the field, in line with the measurement framework.

Field
Fieldwork is carried out under the published protocol; records are anonymised at the moment of collection.

Analysis
Findings are calculated together with their margin of uncertainty; perceived and measured values are placed side by side.

Publication
The round report, the method annex and the aggregated data are published together in open access.
