Scope
This policy covers the institute's website, the correspondence conducted through it, and the principles applied to personal data in fieldwork. Use of the site constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Data collected by the site
The site is a static site; it sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not record visit behaviour.
The only personal data processed through the site are those the data subject submits: name, e-mail address, subject and message in the contact form; the e-mail address given when joining the publication notice list. The purpose, the legal basis, the retention period and the rights of the data subject are set out in the Privacy Notice.
Correspondence data are not sold, published or shared with third parties.
Personal data in fieldwork
Fieldwork is conducted under the informed-consent and data-protection documentation of each study; that documentation is published with the methods note of the study.
Records are de-identified at collection: direct identifiers are separated from the record and the record is held under a code. The key matching code to identity is kept in a separate environment, access is limited to persons authorised in writing, and every access is logged.
The key is destroyed within ninety days of the close of fieldwork. While the key exists the data are not anonymous but pseudonymous. Consent can be withdrawn and a record deleted until the key is destroyed; afterwards the record can no longer be matched to anyone. The detailed rules are set out on the Method and Data page.
Third parties
No advertising network, social-media tracker or analytics service is used on the site.
While a page loads, the browser requests font files from Adobe Typekit (use.typekit.net); nothing is passed in that request beyond what the browser transmits technically. The content of links leading off the site is outside the institute's control, and a link does not imply endorsement.
Terms of use
The institute's publications are open access. Each carries a reference number (for example IRISP/2026/005), and that number is the basis for citation: a title may be translated, the number does not change. Quoting, reporting findings and linking are free provided the source is credited; republishing a publication in full or in substantial part elsewhere requires a request to info@irisp.org.
The name IRISP® and the iris emblem belong to the institute. Using the name in citations and news coverage is free; using the name or the emblem in a way that suggests the institute endorses a product, a service or a position is not accepted.
The content of the site is for information and is not designed to serve as the sole basis for a decision; findings are read together with their method annex and their margin of uncertainty. Uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Crawling the site with automated tools in a way that burdens the server, attempting to circumvent security measures, and bulk republication of content without credit are not accepted.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye; the courts and enforcement offices of Ankara have jurisdiction over disputes.
